To online date or not? That is the question.

I don't even know if anyone reads this blog or not... I am thinking I will do a few posts on dating tips. I know I am not an expert by any means, but I had my fair share of dates in my day. One thing I never tried was online dating.

I am wondering if most people still think online dating has a stigma attached to it? I must admit that I use to think it was only for the desperate and lonely-hearted. But, I think I am changing my tune about online dating.

If I was single and having trouble meeting people, I think I would try it. Lately it seems like a lot of people I know met their mate online. These couples all seem normal. So, why not try it? I say if you have exhausted all other resources then go for it! What do you have to lose?

I thought I would update those of you that follow this blog. We had several people contact me/us about setting Erin up with their brother/friend. But, so far nothing has come out of this:(. On the other hand I contacted someone for Erin and she is in contact with this guy. So we will see where that goes.

So keep on sending great guys this way. She's still single and ready to mingle!

Kelly's Korner - Show us your Erin!

Okay guys and gals, thanks to my sister for helping us out with this.  Over on another blog here she (Kelly) is trying to hook a sista' up (Erin).  Well technically not just Erin but anyone who reads her blog who has a single friend or relative.  So I am hoping someone out there has a single male friend or relative that would be great for her.  So leave a comment below and I will pass the info on to her.

Let's get this girl a date!

To Date or Not to Date...

After speaking with some friends that are single, I think I am realizing that dating gets harder the older you are.

When you're in your 20s there seems to be less pressure.  I think you can date for a while and there is little pressure to be married.  I think if you feel that pressure a lot of times it is from yourself.

When you're in your 30s there is a stigma attached to it.  I think, especially in the church, that people expect you to be dating to get married.  It makes me nervous/cautious for my single friends out there who are in their late 20s/early 30s.  I want them to be able to date with freedom.  Freedom to not feel pressure, freedom to not have to be serious with who they are dating, and freedom to just enjoy the process of dating.  Is that too much to ask?
